Landgate Cottage
Landgate Cottage in the historic Rye citadel is rumoured to have been the gatekeeper’s cottage for the famous Landgate Arch. It has retained all its traditional features, while providing a modern and comfortable living space for couples or families.
Centrally located in the heart of Rye, it is the ideal place to enjoy a self-catered holiday or short break any time of the year.
Curl up by the fire
In winter, curl up before a roaring open fire supplied with logs from our woods in nearby Northiam. Settle in and watch TV, or take your pick from a selection of board games and DVDs.
Rooms with a view
Landgate Cottage sleeps four in two first-floor, light and airy bedrooms that look directly out onto the ancient Landgate Arch. Both rooms are of a similar size and one of the double beds converts to twin beds, as required.

Rye has a number of fantastic restaurants including Webb’s Fish Cafe, the famous Mermaid Hotel and The Standard pub which boasts excellent reviews.
