These short breaks are FULLY INCLUSIVE of all fuel, logs, linen and towels and a welcome pack.

MEALS
(for day of arrival for Landgate Cottage, all other days at the Oasthouse Loft)
If you think you’ll be tired after a long journey and won’t have the energy to shop and cook, why not order a meal to help settle in on your first night at the Loft? Your meal will be waiting for you in the fridge when you arrive so you can simply heat it and eat it, at your leisure.
Vanessa is a highly-trained and experienced cook who sources all her ingredients locally or grows them herself. With basic or gourmet options available for 2-6 people, she can cater for special occasions or everyday meals at any point during your stay. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for us to prepare your meal.
Basic options, all £20 for two
Chicken and Bacon Pie
Tender chicken, bacon, red peppers and mushrooms in a cream sauce, topped with a generous layer of puff pastry and served with a selection of seasonal vegetables.
Cottage Pie
Traditional British fare of top-quality beef mince topped with a blanket of rich, creamy mashed potato and served with a selection of seasonal vegetables.
Lasagne
The invincible Italian favourite of pasta verdi layered with succulent beef mince and a rich, Cheddar cheese sauce. Served with garlic bread and a selection of seasonal vegetables.
Beef and Guiness Casserole
Juicy cuts of beef from the neighbouring farm, braised in Guiness with bacon, onions and mushrooms, served with garlic bread and a selection of seasonal vegetables.
Gourmet options, £25 for two
Luxury Fish Crumble
King prawns, salmon and smoked haddock chunks poached in a creamy sauce with a subtle hint of brandy and tomato and topped with a pine nut and parmesan crumble. Served with a selection of seasonal vegetables.
Caribbean Curried Goat
Sample our home-grown goat’s meat, served in this traditional Caribbean dish which blends onions, potatoes and medium spices for a slightly more exotic flavour. Served with rice and poppadums.
Puddings
Suffering from a sweet tooth? Choose from fruit crumble, chocolate biscuit cake, luxury dark chocolate pots (all with cream) or lemon syllabub. £10 for two.
Home-grown goat’s meat
Being a working goat farm, we produce animals specifically for meat so why not give goat a try? We can provide sausages (in packs of six) as well as leg joints, racks, mince and diced meat from £3.15 to £19.50, subject to availability.
Home-made ice-creams
Vanessa is the queen of puddings and does a fantastic line in ice-creams and sorbets, hand-churned in her round Oasthouse kitchen. Ice-creams are made with 100% cream and locally-sourced fruit whenever possible. Order a tub if you’re having a night in. Flavours vary with the seasons but choose from lemon and lime, strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant sorbet and more. Prices available on request.
